Heritage Fire cooking competition returns to Charles Krug Winery in August

Chefs and food lovers gathered at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena, California on August 16 for Heritage Fire, a cooking competition using open flames. The event ran from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the historic Napa Valley estate.

Visitors walked around tasting dishes prepared by local chefs, including cooks from Nixtaco and Matchplay Kitchen + Bar. Wine and soft drinks were also available. After trying the food, guests voted for their favourite dish, and the winning chef received the title of "Heritage Hero."

Only people aged 21 and over could attend, and they needed to show a valid photo ID. Early entry tickets cost $179. The event is part of a touring series that celebrates cooking over fire and local food traditions.
