Shirakiku Red Miso, priced at ten dollars, won the top spot for red miso. Reviewers described it as having a fruity, floral smell with a rich soy sauce taste. Hikari Saikyo Sweet Miso, at fourteen dollars, was chosen as the best sweet white miso. Hikari Shinshu Miso White was rated the top savory white miso.
