Woman charged with murdering three children testifies at Massachusetts murder trial

The trial of Lindsay Clancy began on July 27, 2026, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. She is charged with killing her three children in January 2023. The children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, died at the family home in Duxbury.

The first witness was their father, Patrick Clancy. He testified for the prosecution. Patrick divorced Lindsay after the charges and has since remarried and moved to New York. Shortly after the deaths, he said publicly that he had forgiven her. In a 2024 interview, he said he had not been married to a monster, but to someone who became ill.

The defence told the court that Lindsay had suffered from severe insomnia, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Patrick believed she killed the children after hearing a voice telling her to take them with her.
