Wizz Air expands Spanish network with new routes and operational bases

Wizz Air has opened new operational bases in Madrid and Valencia as part of a major expansion in Spain. The budget airline will use these bases to run domestic flights across the country. From Valencia, it will fly to Asturias, Bilbao, Palma de Mallorca, and Santander. The Madrid base will serve routes to Asturias. Together, the bases support 10 new domestic routes and 3 international ones. Wizz Air also launched three new flights from London Luton to Málaga, Granada, and Asturias in October. Earlier this year, it added routes to Bilbao, Barcelona, and Seville from Luton. The airline now flies to 11 Spanish destinations from the UK. Having a permanent base in Spain shows a long-term commitment to the country.
