Wildfires destroy homes across Stourbridge in West Midlands

Wildfires destroyed 19 homes in Stourbridge, West Midlands, on Thursday, 13 August 2026, during the hottest day of the year in Britain. Eighteen more homes were damaged. The fires burned across more than 40 acres and were visible above rooftops across the town. Fifty-four people received treatment, and 19 of them needed hospital care.
