Whataburger launches four dollar menu to compete in fast food price war

Whataburger has launched a new value menu called "More for $4," offering burgers and chicken sandwiches for $4 each. The Texas-based chain has over 1,700 restaurants across the southern United States.

The menu includes items like the Bacon and Cheese Whataburger Jr. and the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Strip Sandwich Jr. Customers can also add small fries and a drink for $3 more. The new prices are about $3 lower than Whataburger's regular burger prices.

Many fast food chains have introduced cheaper options because customers are spending less money due to rising costs. McDonald's has said the economic situation is difficult for many people. Whataburger's new menu puts it in direct competition with value offerings from McDonald's and Wendy's.
