Warren Buffett stops annual donations to Bill Gates Foundation

Warren Buffett stopped donating to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2024. He had given money to the charity every year since 2006, and his total gifts reached more than $47 billion.

Buffett's decision came after Gates admitted he had met Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, several times. Gates said he first met Epstein in 2011 to discuss raising money for global health projects.

Buffett has now changed his plans for his fortune. He wants his remaining Berkshire Hathaway shares, worth nearly $146 billion, to go to charity by 2034. Previously, he had planned for his three children to give away his money after his death.
