Viridian extends mineralization in Kraken drill hole to 51 metres

Viridian Metals announced on August 6, 2026 that drilling at its Kraken project in Labrador has found minerals continuing down to 51 metres below the surface. The company drilled this hole earlier, in February 2025, but had to stop while still inside the mineral zone. The new, deeper drilling shows that the same type of rock, containing copper, nickel and cobalt, keeps going further down. Viridian is working to measure and officially record the size of this mineral zone, which is called the Kraken Main Zone. The area has a similar geology to the well-known Voisey's Bay deposit nearby. Laboratory results from the latest drill samples have not arrived yet, but the company expects them within the next few weeks.
