Victoria Folk Festival returns for second year with sold-out success

The Victoria Folk Festival returned for its second year on July 4, 2026, at Royal Athletic Park in British Columbia. The event sold out completely during its first revival year in 2025, and organizers brought back the festival to make Victoria a major stop for folk music fans across Canada.

This year's lineup includes well-known Canadian artists such as Chantal Kreviazuk, The Sadies, and Barney Bentall. The full-day festival features two stages, including a smaller "Pickin' Shack" for additional performances. Visitors can bring their own chairs or blankets to sit on the grass while they enjoy the music until 10 p.m.

The festival also offers a Kids Zone, a market for local artisans and vintage goods, and food from local vendors. Children under five get free entry, while other visitors pay general admission. Founder Dylan Stone created the revival to celebrate Victoria's local roots music community, including folk, Celtic, and country styles.
