University of Arkansas marching band selected for 2027 Macy's parade

The University of Arkansas Razorback Marching Band will perform in the 2027 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The band learned the news at a surprise announcement in August 2026. More than 100 bands from across the country applied for a place in the parade, and the Razorbacks were chosen. It will be their first time performing in the event. The parade will take place on November 26, 2027, and it will be the 101st edition. Three other Arkansas bands have appeared in the parade before, including Fayetteville High School, Mountain Home High School, and Lake Hamilton High School. The Razorback band will be the first from the University of Arkansas to take part.
