Two Palestinian teenagers killed during West Bank settler raid

Israeli soldiers shot and killed two Palestinian teenagers during a raid on the village of al-Mughayyir in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday. The victims were Khalil Abu Alia, 16, and Omar al-Nassan, 19.

A group of settlers entered the village with military and police protection to take sheep from a Palestinian home. Local residents threw stones and cinder blocks at the settlers. Soldiers then opened fire, and snipers were placed on rooftops. Both teenagers were fatally shot during the confrontation.

The Israeli military said its forces fired at people it described as key instigators. Al-Mughayyir has faced repeated settler incursions in recent months. During the same period, Israeli troops also destroyed the nearby village of Khirbet al-Tabban in the Masafer Yatta region.
