Two explosions kill at least ten at Bolivia military base

Two explosions at a military base in Viacha, Bolivia, have killed at least ten people and injured more than 80 others. The blasts happened on Friday afternoon at the RAM-2 "Bolivar" base, about 22 kilometres from La Paz. The first explosion involved black powder from firework materials stored at the site. A second, stronger blast followed shortly after. Seven people are still missing. The explosions damaged buildings and homes within a one-kilometre area. Some dangerous unexploded materials were left in public spaces nearby, and authorities warned people to stay away from the base because further explosions were possible. The local government has declared three days of mourning for the victims.
