Twitch adds opt-out control for Amazon AI training of user content

Twitch announced on August 12 that users can now stop Amazon from using their content to train generative AI systems. The new control is in the Security and Privacy section of account settings, under the label "Training for Generative AI."

The setting is turned on by default, so users must actively switch it off. Content covered includes streams, recorded videos, clips, chat messages, and channel images.

Turning the setting off only affects generative AI training. Twitch and Amazon can still use channel content for other purposes, such as helping streamers find sponsors or keeping communities safe.
