Trump envoys visit Moscow and Kyiv for Ukraine peace negotiations

U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Moscow and Kyiv this weekend to push for an end to the war in Ukraine. On Saturday, they met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. On Sunday, they travelled to Kyiv to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It was the first time either envoy had visited Kyiv since President Trump returned to office. The trip was originally planned for August but was delayed because of tensions with Iran. Trump said his envoys carried a proposal to end the fighting. The White House said it feels hopeful about reaching a deal. Zelenskyy said Ukraine's main concerns are control over territory and guarantees of future security.
