Trump delays Canadian tariffs for three days as trade negotiations continue

Trump wrote on Truth Social that the two countries had reached "a DEAL," though documents still need to be signed. The pause lasts three days. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said that talks had made "substantial progress" but that important work remained. Carney also stressed that Canada wants to build a stronger and more self-reliant economy. Trump suggested that the Keystone XL oil pipeline could be revived as part of the agreement.
