Truck accident kills crew member, J. Cole cancels Sacramento concert

A crew member died on August 27 when a truck carrying J. Cole's tour equipment crashed in California. The driver, Jarlath Parkinson, 66, from Jackson, South Carolina, was the only person in the vehicle. California Highway Patrol said he may have fallen asleep or lost concentration. The truck was moving between tour stops, travelling from Seattle to Sacramento, when it left the highway and rolled over.

J. Cole, a 41-year-old Grammy-winning rapper, cancelled his Sacramento concert at Golden 1 Center the same day. The show was due to start that evening. The venue told ticket holders they could get a full refund from where they bought their tickets.
