Tourist coach overturns in Swiss Alps, killing multiple people

A tourist bus carrying 48 Dutch passengers overturned on a mountain road in eastern Switzerland on Thursday evening. The crash happened near Susch, in the Graubünden region. The bus hit a safety barrier and then fell onto its side. No other vehicles were involved. Several people died and others were injured, though authorities have not yet given exact numbers. The passengers had left the Netherlands on Monday and were travelling from Austria into Switzerland when the accident occurred. Because the location is remote, rescue teams had to send helicopters and ambulances to reach the scene. The area is close to Zernez, which is the gateway to the Swiss National Park. Police have opened an investigation into what caused the crash.
