Three brothers convicted and imprisoned for sex trafficking dozens of women

Three brothers have each been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking. Oren and Alon Alexander, aged 39, and their brother Tal, 40, were sentenced on Tuesday in New York. A jury convicted them in March on all charges.

The brothers were wealthy real estate businessmen. They used their money and social status to invite women to parties at luxury homes in New York and Miami. There, they drugged and sexually assaulted the women. The crimes happened between 2009 and 2017.

At least 11 women gave evidence during the five-week trial, and 12 victims spoke at the sentencing. Prosecutors had asked for life sentences. The brothers did not speak in their own defence at trial.
