A new survey has found that Americans think you need to earn around $106,000 a year to find true love. The survey questioned 2,000 people and was carried out by research company Talker Research.

The results show a clear difference between generations. Among Gen Z respondents, 78% said that salary decides whether someone can find true love. Only 32% of baby boomers agreed. Baby boomers were also the only group whose average salary expectation was below six figures.

Money has already affected some relationships. About 15% of all respondents said they had ended a relationship because of financial problems. That number was much higher for Gen Z, at 25%, compared to just 7% for baby boomers.
