Sports betting figure skips Las Vegas court hearing, posts photos from Thailand

A Las Vegas judge issued an arrest warrant for sports betting personality David Oancea after he missed a court hearing in August 2026. Oancea, known as "Vegas Dave," appeared in the Showtime documentary series "Action." He did not attend the scheduled hearing, and the Clark County judge responded by ordering his arrest. Less than two weeks later, his Instagram account posted photos and videos from Thailand. The posts showed him at Ko Samui island, Bangkok, and Samui Airport. Images included a private jet, beach scenes, and a pool overlooking the ocean. His account also continued to advertise his betting tips. Oancea and his lawyers have not responded to requests for comment.
