Slipknot removes DJ Sid Wilson after 28 years with band

Slipknot has permanently removed DJ and keyboardist Sid Wilson from the band. The decision was made on July 31, 2026, after nearly 28 years together. Wilson joined Slipknot in 1998 as their ninth member, just before their debut album came out in 1999. He performed under the name "#0" and was responsible for turntables, keyboards, and sound effects. The band told him late on Friday afternoon that he was out. No reason has been given publicly. Wilson's exit leaves only four original members still in the band. Slipknot has lost several members over the years, including Paul Gray, who died in 2010, and Joey Jordison, who died in 2021. Wilson also recently ended his engagement to Kelly Osbourne. The two share a three-year-old son.
