Singer charged with murder of 14-year-old girl in Los Angeles

A court in Los Angeles has heard evidence against David Burke, 21, a musician charged with killing 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Burke performs under the name D4vd.

Prosecutors say Burke sexually abused the girl over a long period before her death. They allege he brought her to his rented house in Hollywood, stabbed her, and let her bleed to death. He then used a chainsaw to cut up her body, prosecutors say. He also removed two of her fingers because they had a tattoo that connected him to her.

In the days after her death, Burke bought a body bag, a chainsaw, and other items online. Police also found child sexual abuse material on his iCloud account. Burke has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
