Ryan Gosling's Project Hail Mary arrives on Prime Video streaming service

The science fiction film Project Hail Mary became available on Prime Video on 3 July 2026. Ryan Gosling plays Ryland Grace, a science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship and cannot remember anything about how he got there. His character must figure out why the sun is losing energy and find a way to save Earth. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller directed the film, which is based on Andy Weir's novel from 2021. It first appeared in cinemas on 20 March 2026 and has since earned around 680 million dollars worldwide, placing it third among the highest-grossing films of the year. Critics and audiences have both responded very positively, giving it scores above 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Prime Video subscribers can watch it with or without advertisements.
