Russia attacks Zaporizhzhia with North Korean ballistic missiles

Russian forces struck the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on August 11, 2026, killing at least ten people across the country. President Zelenskyy said the attack used North Korean ballistic missiles, Zircon anti-ship missiles, and guided aerial bombs. Seven workers died at the Metinvest steel plant, and 21 others were injured. Russian officials claimed they targeted the plant because it supplies steel to the Ukrainian military.
