Rockstar Games responds to leaked Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay footage

Rockstar Games spoke publicly on Wednesday about leaked footage from Grand Theft Auto 6 that had been spreading online for about a week. A hacking group called CyberLeek posted video clips from an unfinished version of the game. The footage continued to spread on social media even after Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two Interactive asked platforms to remove it. Rockstar said the leak was "heartbreaking" for its team and apologised to fans. Take-Two also went to court to force Microsoft, Discord, Google, and X to delete the clips and share information about CyberLeek. Rockstar said it would release an official gameplay trailer the following day. GTA 6 is planned for release on November 19.
