Private jet crashes into Florida street, killing all nine aboard

A private jet crashed into a street in Palm Beach County, Florida, on November 1, 2026, killing all nine people on board. The Learjet 60 had left Austin, Texas, and was flying to the Bahamas when it nosedived into the ground. The plane hit a road near Military Trail, close to a residential area called Greenacres. The crash made a large crater and caused a fireball. At least one mobile home nearby was badly damaged. Emergency crews closed Military Trail in both directions and declared a mass-casualty emergency. The crash site is less than 11 kilometres from Mar-a-Lago. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have both opened investigations into the cause.
