Princess Kate returns to Wimbledon for first appearance since cancer diagnosis

Princess Kate visited Wimbledon on Thursday, July 2, meeting fans who had been waiting in the famous Queue since early morning. She spoke with honorary stewards who help manage the long line of spectators, and she also spent time in the ticket office. During her visit, she met children from the Shine Camera Club, a programme that supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Kate then watched a second-round match on Court 18, where British player Arthur Fery faced Finland's Otto Virtanen. She sat beside former player Tim Henman, who now serves on the All England Club board. She wore a blue linen suit with chocolate-coloured shoes. Kate, who is patron of the club, announced her cancer was in remission in early 2025, and this was her first visit to Wimbledon's opening week since her diagnosis.
