Prince Harry visits UK as family accommodation dispute emerges with palace

Prince Harry travelled to the United Kingdom, but his wife Meghan and their children stayed behind. The visit became complicated because of a disagreement over where the family would sleep.

King Charles offered Harry a room at Buckingham Palace. However, the offer was later taken back. A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan said they had already refused the offer in writing on Saturday morning. Buckingham Palace gave a different version of events.

Harry and Meghan moved to California in 2020 when they stopped working as senior royals. Since then, their relationship with the royal family has been difficult. Their children, Archie and Lilibet, have had very little contact with King Charles and other relatives.
