Prime Minister Albanese apologises for comments about Kylie Minogue on podcast

Albanese appeared on the Bush Deep podcast, a comedy show known for casual conversation. When the host asked him to play a game involving three Australian women, Albanese initially refused to participate. However, when pressed further, he said "Kylie, clearly" and later added "All of the above. She's terrific." Albanese married Jodie Haydon in November, becoming the first sitting Prime Minister to marry while in office. Several female politicians criticized his remarks as unsuitable for someone in his position. Independent MP Dai Le said the comments were "unbecoming of a gentleman." Albanese released a statement saying he was sorry for what he had said. Some government ministers chose not to comment on the controversy.
