Police conclude investigation into actress Hayden Panettiere's death

Police in Greenville, South Carolina, have closed their investigation into the death of actress Hayden Panettiere, ruling it accidental.

Panettiere, 36, was found unresponsive in her apartment on August 16 and was pronounced dead that afternoon. She was best known for her role in the television series Nashville.

Laboratory tests found several substances in her body, including fentanyl and alprazolam. Doctors determined that these substances caused her death. An autopsy found no signs of physical injury.
