Pest control experts have released advice on managing common summer insects, warning that warm weather encourages many species to breed and forage more actively.

Mosquitoes are among the biggest concerns. They lay eggs in standing water, so removing any stagnant water around the home is the most effective way to reduce numbers. Ticks are also dangerous during summer, as they can carry serious illnesses including Lyme Disease.

Wasps tend to gather near outdoor eating areas, attracted by sweet foods and meat. Ants can damage property through nesting, and fire ants deliver painful bites.
