Pentagon reveals over 100 troops injured in Iran conflict

The U.S. Pentagon has confirmed that around 140 American troops were hurt in the first ten days of fighting with Iran in March 2026. The injuries happened after Iranian forces attacked U.S. military bases in the Middle East.

At first, the Pentagon only told the public about eight seriously hurt soldiers. It released the fuller numbers later. Of those injured, 108 returned to duty, and most wounds were described as minor. Eight soldiers needed intensive medical care.

The delayed release of the figures raised questions about honesty and public accountability. Later reports from U.S. Central Command put the total number of injured troops at over 400. The Pentagon did not give details about the types of injuries soldiers received.
