North Korea's Kim Yo Jong denies knowledge of Trump contact claims

Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, has denied knowing about any contact between her brother and US President Donald Trump. Trump told reporters on Monday that Kim Jong Un had responded positively to his request for talks. Trump had also called for fewer joint military exercises between the US and South Korea. But on Wednesday, Kim Yo Jong said through state media that she knew "absolutely nothing" about any such communication. She did say that her brother has good feelings toward Trump and that the two men share a strong personal relationship. However, she also said the US is still a "hostile" enemy of North Korea. Trump refused to give details about the contact and did not confirm whether the two leaders had exchanged letters.
