Michigan Democratic Senate candidates debate campaign funding and Israel policy

Abdul El-Sayed and Haley Stevens met for their final debate before Michigan's Democratic Senate primary on Tuesday. The two candidates argued sharply about money in politics and the war in Gaza.

El-Sayed said Stevens had received over 35 million dollars in outside spending. He pointed to donations she accepted from DTE Energy and a trip to Portugal paid for by a corporate group. El-Sayed says he has never taken money from corporations.

Pro-Israel group AIPAC has spent tens of millions of dollars on television ads against El-Sayed. He called the situation in Gaza a genocide and linked AIPAC's spending to American foreign policy.
