Magnum ice cream sales rise during European heat waves

Magnum Ice Cream reported stronger-than-expected sales growth in the second quarter of 2026. The company said hot weather across Europe helped push up demand for its products. Organic sales grew 4.9 percent, well above the 2.9 percent that analysts had predicted. Revenue rose to €4.7 billion, compared to €4.5 billion a year earlier. Profits also increased, with adjusted EBIT climbing 7.5 percent to €716 million. Growth came from both higher prices and more units sold. Sales at restaurants and cafés were particularly strong after a warm June. Magnum, which also owns brands such as Ben & Jerry's and Cornetto, became an independent company after separating from Unilever in late 2025. Europe remains one of its biggest markets.
