London pizzeria wins Europe's best ranking for third year running

A London pizzeria has won first place in Europe's best pizza ranking for the third year in a row. Napoli on the Road, which has three restaurants in the British capital, topped the 50 Top Pizza guide again in 2026. The business was started by Michele Pascarella, a pizza maker originally from a town near Naples, who first sold pizzas from a small three-wheeled truck at London street markets in 2016. He opened his first permanent restaurant in Chiswick three years later. Pascarella was named World Pizza Maker of the Year in 2023. His most famous pizza, topped with slow-cooked beef ragù and a parmigiano reggiano fondue, was voted the world's best pizza by the same guide the previous year. Another London restaurant, 50 Kalò, came fourth in the European ranking.
