LeBron James says he will continue playing basketball at age 41

LeBron James, 41, says he wants to keep playing basketball and has no plans to retire. James believes he can still compete at a high level in the NBA, even in his 40s. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers alongside his son Bronny. Many former NBA stars move into broadcasting or media after they stop playing. James has his own option in that area. He co-owns SpringHill Entertainment with his business partner Maverick Carter, and the company joined with media firm Fulwell in 2024. Carter has said that media work could suit James in the future. For now, though, James is focused on continuing his playing career, which is already one of the longest in NBA history.
