King Charles confirms Harry and Meghan will not perform royal duties

King Charles III has formally confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan will remain private citizens, even though they have moved back to the United Kingdom. A senior royal official sent a letter to government and military representatives in September 2026, explaining the King's position. Harry and Meghan will not carry out any official duties for the Crown. They cannot use their "His and Her Royal Highness" titles, which have been suspended since 2020.
