Kate Middleton visits Wimbledon queue and watches matches on courts

Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, made a surprise visit to Wimbledon on day four of the 2026 tournament, attending not the main show courts but the queue and outer courts instead. She stopped to greet fans waiting outside the All England Club, shaking hands and posing for selfies. She also spent time with young people from Shine Camera Club, a photography programme for disadvantaged children, and joined them in photographing the event. Kate watched two second-round matches, sitting alongside former players Tim Henman and Andy Murray at different points during the day. She wore a blue linen suit by Gabriella Hearst. The visit was unusual because in recent years she has typically appeared only for the finals. As a child, she once queued outside the same gates with her father and sister to get in.
