Jenna DeLaurentis moved to Reno after studying in Chile

Jenna DeLaurentis changed her plans about where to live after spending five months studying in Santiago, Chile. Before her trip, she had hoped to move to a big American city like New York or Chicago after finishing college. However, her time in South America gave her different priorities.

Although she enjoyed Santiago's warm climate and access to the outdoors, she found the city too large. She began to prefer sunshine, mountains, and smaller urban areas. About a year after returning home, she chose Reno, Nevada as her new city. Reno gets more than 250 days of sunshine each year and has four distinct seasons.

DeLaurentis grew up in a small Midwestern city and has now visited more than 40 countries. She considers Chile one of the most beautiful places she has seen.
