Israeli settlers attack Palestinians in occupied West Bank town

Israeli settlers have attacked Palestinians in the occupied West Bank several times in recent days. In the town of Qusra, settlers surrounded homes for days, trapping residents including a Palestinian-American. A mosque in Qusra was also burned down in what appears to be a settler attack. In the nearby town of Jalud, masked settlers attacked a group of NBC News reporters and a Palestinian woman with sticks and rocks, injuring four people. On Saturday, dozens of settlers entered a Palestinian man's home and attacked people inside. Palestinian officials say there have been 1,476 settler attacks so far in 2026. U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee called the settlers "terrorists," which is unusually strong language from the Trump administration. Israeli military officials blamed a small group of young extremists.
