Israeli military evicts settlers from West Bank siege, settlers return hours later

Israeli soldiers removed about a dozen settlers from the Palestinian village of Qusra on Thursday, but the settlers came back the same day. The settlers had surrounded the homes of two or three Palestinian families, cutting off their water and electricity. On Wednesday, soldiers took down a settlers' tent and pushed back a group of around 50 settlers before leaving the area. Thursday's removal did not last. The UN has recorded more than 1,430 settler attacks across roughly 260 Palestinian communities in 2026. About 3,800 Palestinians, nearly half of them children, have lost their homes because of settler violence, demolitions, and forced evictions. Residents of Qusra, south of Nablus, say settlers are trying to take their land.
