Iran attacks U.S. military bases in Jordan multiple times

Iran has attacked United States military bases in Jordan four times in five days. One attack on Friday killed two American soldiers and left a third missing. Iran fired 20 missiles at Al-Azraq air base, which is about 50 miles from Amman, on June 11. Jordan's military stopped those missiles before they reached the base. U.S. officials said Iran is getting better at avoiding American air defence systems. They also said Iran has large numbers of missiles available. Jordan hosts several important U.S. bases and has close ties with Western countries. Missiles and drones passed through Jordanian airspace during recent fighting between Israel and Iran. Officials see the attacks as part of Iran's strategy to target countries that host American forces.
