Houthis attack Saudi tankers while US strikes Iran repeatedly

Yemen's Houthi militia attacked two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea on Thursday. The ships, Encelia and Layla, were hit with missiles and drones. The Encelia caught fire after a missile struck it near Saudi Arabia's Jizan port. The Houthis said the tankers had broken a naval blockade they imposed on Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the US military has carried out strikes on Iranian targets for at least 12 nights in a row. The strikes have expanded to western and central Iran. The US says it wants to reduce Iran's ability to threaten ships in the region. Washington also holds Iran responsible for Houthi actions, because it considers the group an Iranian proxy. Iraq sent a delegation to Tehran to call for peace.
