Helicopter carrying safari tourists crashes in Kenya, killing seven

A tourist helicopter crashed in northern Kenya on Wednesday, killing all seven people on board. The accident happened at 9:13 a.m. near Mount Ololokwe, in a remote part of Samburu County. The helicopter was travelling from the Loisaba Conservancy to the Ewaso Nyiro area when it went down. Five of the seven people who died were American citizens. One of them was José Alberto Suárez, a senior executive at several Telemundo television stations in the United States. The aircraft carried six passengers and one pilot. Kenya's Civil Aviation Authority has opened an investigation into the cause of the crash. The U.S. State Department and its embassy in Kenya have been helping the families of those killed.
