Gatwick Airport enforces drop-off charges with penalty fines

Gatwick Airport has introduced a new fee for drivers who drop off passengers at its terminals. The charge starts at £7 for up to ten minutes. After that, drivers pay £1 for every extra minute, up to a maximum of £27. Payment must be made by midnight the following day. If a driver does not pay in time, they will receive a £100 penalty. This falls to £60 if paid within 14 days. Drivers who want to avoid the fee can use the Long Stay car parks, where parking is free for up to two hours. Short Stay car parks are also available for collections, at around £6 for 30 minutes.
