Former child actress sues Disney over alleged on-set sexual abuse

Former child actress Raquel Lee has sued Disney, saying she was sexually abused while filming a Disney Channel movie in 2001. She was 14 years old at the time. Lee says a middle-aged male Disney employee raped and assaulted her repeatedly. The alleged abuse happened in a hotel room in Salt Lake City and on a flight back to Los Angeles. She also says the man made sexually explicit comments on set, which other crew members could hear and see. Lee accuses Disney of negligence because the company did not stop the behaviour. She says she was kept away from her on-set guardian for most of each day during production. The lawsuit does not name the alleged perpetrator.
