Fitness trainer Elena Katherine Moore found dead after eight day disappearance

Elena Katherine Moore, a 39-year-old fitness trainer from Lexington, South Carolina, was found dead on June 19, 2026, eight days after she went missing. Moore had left an unidentified facility on June 11 and travelled by taxi toward Lexington. She asked the driver to stop at a CVS pharmacy on Sunset Boulevard, and that was the last time anyone confirmed seeing her. Later that evening, someone used her gym membership to check into a nearby Planet Fitness at around 6:38 p.m. Her husband reported her missing the following day. A forensic autopsy found no external injuries, and police initially said they did not believe her death was suspicious. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her disappearance and death.
