Family relocates to Asia to travel on minimal daily budget

A British family of four left the UK in February 2026 to travel the world and never return. Ryan Blackley, 35, and his wife Jess, 34, flew to Chiang Mai, Thailand on 24 February with their sons Noah, 6, and Bodhi, 4. The family lives on £60 a day, which covers all their costs. They earn money from properties they rent out back in Britain. Ryan and Jess both stopped working regular jobs when they were in their early 30s. They chose this life because they wanted to travel long-term with their children instead of following a conventional path. The family has no plans to go back to the UK.
