Explosion at Rotterdam port kills one person, injures six

One person has died after an explosion at a fuel storage site in the Port of Rotterdam on Thursday. Six other people were injured in the blast. The explosion happened at a terminal run by Gunvor Energy, one of the largest fuel operations in Europe's biggest port. Workers were carrying out maintenance on pipes at the site when the explosion occurred. Police have set up a crime scene and are investigating the cause. The Port of Rotterdam Authority confirmed the incident and offered condolences to the family of the person who died, as well as to the injured workers. The reason for the explosion is not yet known.
